Fishers Island in the Town of Southold relies on a interrelated fragile system of ground and service water for public water supply.  Articles 4, Section 760-452 of the Suffolk County Sanitary Code includes a provision to establish watershed protection measure for the Fishers Island Water Supply in order to minimize impacts of pollution on surface water quality and groundwater recharge.
