Cross Connection Control

Cross connection control is formed at any point where a drinking water line connects to equipment, a system containing chemicals, or water of questionable quality, and backflow may occur into the drinking water line. There are many cross connection hazards commonly present in the home that can pose a risk to the public water system. The most common hazards on Fishers Island are pools, irrigation systems, docks and private wells. These pose a risk to the drinking water supply and require backflow prevention to keep you and your neighbors safe. Please have the survey below on cross connections completed for your property. If you are unsure about any of the answers, have your contractor, plumber or other representative complete the survey, or contact us at fiww@fiuc.net.
